Welcome, you arrived at the Leiden Toastmasters Club homepage. Probably, this is because Leiden is the closest location from your home, work, or educational institution.
You made a good choice, as Leiden is a beautiful city with its canals and its long history.
Maybe, you are a student, as Leiden is the city where also our King Willem Alexander spent his University time. Maybe, you come from abroad to work for a couple of years in a different country. In any case, you probably want to explore something new, learn, grow yourself, and possibly also practice the English language. Our club consists of similar profiles, while we have native Dutch speaking members, too.
Whatever your background or your age is, you are always welcome to explore, express, and engage with our existing members. We have so many different profiles coming from different countries, speaking all kinds of languages, having diverse backgrounds: from personal coaches to programmers, and from business people over academics to artists. This makes our club culture truly dynamic, and we are sure you will fit in as well.
Our club creates leaders and speakers, no matter if you are introvert or extrovert. Everyone can learn and develop such skills. Our members and alumni range from beginners giving their first public speech up to a TEDx award-winning keynote speaker. What they all have in common is that they have a dream and they work towards achieving their dream – and so can you. The more you get surrounded with people with the same ambition and passion, the more likely the dream becomes reality.
Our club is happy to support you and, therefore, we would like to warmly welcome you as a guest to let you experience what Toastmasters is about, and answer any questions you may have. If you feel as comfortable and excited as our previous guests, we would love you to become a member after three visits.
