McDermott Toastmasters The Hague was founded in April 2014. McDermott Toastmasters is a Company Club, which means that membership of the club is restricted to all McDermott staff and agency employees located in the Hague office.
The Toastmasters meetings take place every 2nd Tuesday and 4th Thursday of the month.
Guests are welcome! We are always happy to meet members from other Toastmaster clubs who’d like to sample our unique atmosphere. However, as a corporate club, only McDermott staff are able to enroll as members.
Always contact us first to register, if you would like to attend our meetings.
Our Vision is to be the dedicated training initiative which enables the members to improve their public speaking and leadership skills at all levels within the McDermott The Hague organization.
We value the multicultural environment within McDermott and the club and learn from each other’s cultures.
We capture and share the international expertise and resources within our club to improve the development of our members.
Every individual member is valued and has the opportunity to develop themselves within the club, and improve their communication and leadership skills.
Toastmasters members learn to tell their stories with flair. They listen attentively and answer with conviction. They plan and lead. They give feedback — and gladly accept it. Through our community of learners, they find their path to leadership. Toastmasters helps you to improve your speaking and leadership skills, to ignite your career, and to gain the confidence to speak up.
