Would you like to learn how to present better online or digitally in front of a group? Do you want to keep your audience’s attention, improve your personal effectiveness and your leadership skills? It’s all possible at Vliegende Hollanders (Flying Dutchmen).
Learning to present at the Vliegende Hollanders
Good public speaking is mainly learned by doing. In a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, members are given plenty of opportunity to train skills. And that in a safe environment. You learn to improve your speech not only by standing in front of a group, but also by the evaluation, the feedback, that you receive.

Presenting, evaluating, improvising
The feedback will help you improve your speaking and presentation skills in a short period of time.
During the improvisation you will be presented with a question or statement. It’s up to you to give an impassioned speech about this. This often leads to hilarious situations. A fun and educational exercise!
What do we pay attention to?
- Are you staying within the time limit?
- Is the structure of your story correct?
- How’s your use of words?
- How do you move?
- Are you interacting with your audience?
- How often do you say “eh”?
- How’s your intonation?
- Is your message getting across?
Important
As a non-native Dutch person you are welcome. We ask that you join with at least a basic understanding of Dutch known as “Nederlands B1”. Meaning that you are be able to speak (and understand) understandable Dutch in general. This will keep meetings enjoyable for all attendees. If you are not sure about your level, feel free to contact us for a try-out.
